Indications:
VDT Injection is used for proper absorption and metabolism of calcium and phosphate in the bloodstream. It is composed of vitamin D3 which is vital for the overall health and conditions related to the bones conditions like of osteoporosis.VDT Injection is also used to keep teeth healthy. It helps in the growth of cells and bones. If the level of vitamin D3 goes down it can cause condition of rickets in children and osteoporosis in adults. Some of the symptoms which indicate that you might need this medication are frequent bone fractures, fragile and brittle bones, difficulty in logical thinking, Bone cancer, weak immune system, high risk of infections, excessive fatigue and weakness only to name a few. Doctors would prescribe this medication keeping in mind your age, weight, height and other physical conditions. Effect and uses of the medication can vary from person to person and you must consult a doctor before using it.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
The use of this medication is asked to be avoided during pregnancy unless extremely necessary. Consult a doctor to know the benefits and risks of this medication. Do not exceed the daily recommended dosage.
This medication can be taken when breast feeding but always consult a doctor and do not exceed the daily recommended dosage.

Dosage/Direction for Use:
IM Adult or children w/ digestive disorders, concomitant treatment w/ antiepileptics & other particular conditions ½-1 amp every 3 mth. Infant receiving vit D-enriched milk ½ amp every 6 mth. Nursed infant or infant not receiving vit D-enriched milk or young children up to 5 yr 1 amp every 6 mth. Pregnancy ½ amp from 6th-7th mth of pregnancy may be repeated once an mth later if the last term of pregnancy begins in cases where there is no sun exposure. Elderly ½ amp every 3 mth. Vit D deficiency treatment (rickets, osteomalacia, newborn hypocalcemia) 1 amp, can be renewed once 1-6 mth later.
